Peter Symonds has painted full-time since leaving university at the age of 22 and had never really entertained any other career bar playing cricket for England! He loved painting at school but the dream of making his living as an Artist was really fuelled by knowing a couple of very successful Artists, one of whom was kind enough to guide Peter with some elementary points.

Peter is constantly striving to improve his work. Following the influence of his recent trips to the Mediterranean his work has become more colourful and Peter has developed a much looser style.

There are so many beautiful places to paint in the World and Peter’s ambition is to capture each of the individual challenges and difficulties such scenes bring on his beautiful canvases.
