Ingrid Bee
Ingrid’s stunning canvases are handmade in every aspect. She will often plan out the initial design in her sketchbook, then manipulate and distress the pieces of canvas before over stitching them with freehand embroidery.
The individual pieces of canvas are then stitched together and hand stretched over a wooden stretcher. Ingrid then creates new textures and reliefs onto the canvas using various materials and pastes. The final stage is the application of paint, which she will then build up in numerous layers.
Ingrid’s unique yet delicate designs are incredibly versatile. They effectively capture a variety of subjects; yet always retain their own individual style.
