Deborah’s style is unique, using a combination of techniques, textiles, papers and media to create highly colourful and beautifully textured works of art. Her range is extremely diverse both in the size of originals she produces, and their subject matter.

The main base of Deborah's work is Batik, a technique whereby images are built up using hot wax and a jan tin. This technique has been used for thousands of years in the Far East. Deborah initially draws her images onto paper or silk and then applies wax to certain areas, creating sections of colour. She then applies various layers of wax and each individual colour is sealed into the material by the next layer.
